WA Museum Boola Bardip, Perth

Exhibition Design. Graphic Design.

Three permanent exhibitions at the Ningaloo Centre take visitors on a journey through the region’s social history, ‘reef to range’ ecological diversity and ancient landscapes.

The significant impact of human activity in Western Australia is explored through multiple viewpoints

The concept of human impact is established in the introduction wall where a continuously flipping mosaic reveals aerial views of a changing Western Australia and is then echoed throughout the gallery. Content is arranged into four distinct pavilions with each area having its own unique identity and environmental conditions. Through interactive multimedia, graphics and objects, visitors are encouraged to consider the social, cultural, economic and environmental impacts of human engagement with the landscape, facilitating intergenerational reflection, discussion and play.

FRD were engaged by the Shire of Exmouth for content creation, documentation, graphic design, and delivery and installation for this suite of exhibitions.
