FRD was tasked with the development of the branding identity and signage for Vinegar and Brown Paper. The seagull – an icon of outdoor-eating along Australia’s coastline, was the perfect playful ambassador for the up-and-coming cafe in sunny Bundeena. Synonymous with summer days, the ocean and a love for fish and chips, the illustration itself has it’s own personality that is equal parts mischievious, playful and charming, especially when paired with the paper-craft base typeface treatment.
