Dynamic scientific multimedia displays highlight the complex nature of medical research

The permanent exhibitions at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research outline the nature and role of the facility, while exploring the fascinating and complex world of medical research.

FRD were engaged to provide specialist consultancy services involving the coordination, design and integrated delivery of interpretive displays and community access facilities. The initially broad remit of delivery was refined into detailed stages, providing the client with confidence in the creative scope of the project to meet expectations and operate within the designated budget.

Following intensive research in conjunction with key researchers from the Institute, three distinct exhibition sections were developed. These harness the significant research base to ensure the information is presented in an exciting, accurate and informative manner. The first of these sections is a dynamic motorised media display, highlighting the various areas of research within the facility. The second is a free-standing series of multimedia screens displaying scientific images and videos. The third section comprises an interpretive display, with detailed stories regarding the diversity of research at the Institute as well as various collaborations with the international community.
