The Australian Museum of Flight (formerly the Australian Naval Aviation Museum) began in 1974 as a collection of surplus naval aircraft stored on at the present HMAS Albatross site. Freeman Ryan Design was engaged to develop a strategy for redeveloping the museum’s exhibition galleries. The aim was to create a modern museum experience that would tell the story of the Royal Australian Navy’s Fleet Air Arm, giving greater expression to the social and personal dimensions. |
