Marcarthur Museum | Brisbane
Located on the 8th floor of the old AMP building, which was used by General Douglas MacArthur and his senior staff as the Allied headquarters in the Southwest Pacific during World War II, this museum tells the story of Brisbane’s wartime history. Freeman Ryan Design was responsible for the design, documentation and supervision of the installation of the first stage of the exhibition, which includes a recreation of General MacArthur’s office and a multimedia interactive enabling visitors to view the front page of the Courier Mail on any day from 1939 to ‘45.
