Darwin to DNA | West Superspace, Melbourne Museum, Melbourne

Darwin to DNA explores how the theory of evolution has been clarified through the development of genetic science, from the discovery of the concept of genetics in the 19th century to modern understandings of evolution provided by DNA. A contemporary framework comprising large backlit images, graphics, multimedia and case studies complements the historic collections of Charles Darwin, Alfred Wallace and John Gould, which are presented within old display cases. The design approach aims to convey the development of evolutionary theory and encourage links between past and present ideas.
